Libra-CEO Viktor von Essen als „Legal Tech Person of the Year 2026“ ausgezeichnet
Der Gründer und CEO von Libra by Wolters Kluwer, Viktor von Essen, wurde bei den diesjährigen German Legal Tech Awards als „Legal Tech Person of the Year 2026“ ausgezeichnet. Die Auszeichnung wird im Rahmen der Legal Tech Night vom Legal Tech Verband Deutschland vergeben und würdigt Persönlichkeiten, die die Digitalisierung und Innovation im Rechtsmarkt maßgeblich vorantreiben.
Viktor von Essen gründete Libra 2023 mit dem Ziel, KI speziell für die Anforderungen juristischer Arbeit zu entwickeln. Seit 2025 gehört Libra zu Wolters Kluwer. Der Legal AI Workspace ist mittlerweile europaweit verfügbar verbindet KI-Technologie mit juristischen Fachinhalten und digitalen Workflows.
„Die Auszeichnung freut mich sehr. Sie ist vor allem eine Anerkennung für das gesamte Team, das Libra aufgebaut und weiterentwickelt hat“, sagt Viktor von Essen. „Unser Anspruch war von Anfang an, KI so einzusetzen, dass sie Juristinnen und Juristen bei ihrer täglichen Arbeit unterstützt und ihnen mehr Zeit für die wirklich wichtigen Aufgaben verschafft.“
Die Auszeichnung fällt in eine Phase, in der Legal AI den Schritt von der Experimentierphase in den produktiven Einsatz vollzieht. Themen wie Vertrauen, Transparenz, Nachvollziehbarkeit und die Einbindung in bestehende juristische Arbeitsprozesse gewinnen dabei zunehmend an Bedeutung. Diese Grundsätze prägen auch die Weiterentwicklung von Libra by Wolters Kluwer.
